Groveley has invested extensively in 3D computer modelling and programming, through to multi-axis manufacture, ideal for complex/prismatic geometries in components. The software, equipment and training has also enhanced our R&D internally and for customers.

For inspection and quality we have added a FaroArm portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM) – which allows faster verification of product quality by performing 3D inspections, tool certifications, CAD comparison and dimensional analysis. A superb first article inspection tool, the arm quickly verifies the part to the master 3D model (or drawing) and creates a report, which streamlines the process. It also allows for 3D reverse engineering with fast digitisation of a part or object to create a fully-surfaced CAD model.

Our Edgecam CAD-CAM 3D CNC package enables us to work smarter while manufacturing increasingly complex components. And because our resulting programming contains less CNC machinery idle time, our efficiency, lead times and competitive edge are enhanced.
Our processes accurately produce 3D CAD modelling, including even its positioning within a given CNC machine. It directly creates coding for CNC machinery programmes, saving many hours of manual programming and engineering time. Programmes utilise latest manufacturing strategies that are essential for manufacturing complex components which can be virtually impossible to programme longhand.
From start to finish, the whole process is faster – even quotations, because cost estimates can be calculated direct from the original 3D scan.
