Andy CroftDesign engineer Andy Croft, who works for hazard detection specialist Groveley Detection, has gained his offshore BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) certificate and completed his first offshore commissioning project in the North Sea.

Andy (22) joined Groveley in November 2006 after qualifying as a graduate mechanical engineer at Lancaster University.

Managing director Robert commented "Andy is an excellent engineer and a valued addition to our team - with the engineering skills shortage it´s especially good to see young people joining the industry straight from university. We aim to invest in all our staff as an ongoing reflection of what we can offer our customers and our employees."

Andy works in R&D, both on and offshore project design and new product site installation and commissioning, particularly in ultrasonic gas detection.
